Rennes - Strasbourg
Strasbourg have bounced back with positive results. Racing are currently enjoying their best form of the entire season. They are unbeaten in their last six league games and have come through two rounds in the Coupe de France. Four wins and two draws have recently seen Rosseignior's men climb to the top of the table, now just five points off the top six. A draw with Marseille at the Velodrome, where Olympique had to recover, and a first defeat inflicted on Lille since September suggest that Racing have the potential to achieve their desired goals by the end of the season.
Furthermore, Strasbourg play attractive attacking football and are rightfully among the leaders in goals scored, behind only PSG, Marseille and Nice. The team's top scorers are Emega and Santos, who have scored 8 and 7 goals respectively. However, Strasbourg's defense is not known for keeping clean sheets, which could be a concern in crucial matches. Their away form has also improved, having only picked up two points in seven games by mid-December, they have since earned seven. In addition to the draw with Marseille, they have won over Le Havre and Toulouse. Therefore, against Rennes, the visitors have a chance considering the current form of the hosts.
